Hazel started her banking career as a teller, drawn to the field by her love of numbers. Over time, that love shifted from numbers to people—and that’s what continues to drive her 15-year banking career. Hazel's held many roles at Citizens State Bank, where she values the bank’s family-owned roots and community-focused mission.
Born in Winchester and raised in Union City, Hazel is a true small-town girl at heart. She describes Union City as more than just a place—it’s home. “Our customers are our neighbors and friends,” she says. “I’ve always believed in the power of community—after all, it was my winning word in the 4th grade spelling bee!”
Hazel holds a bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a Music Emphasis. Outside of the office, she enjoys experimenting with new recipes, digging deep into genealogy, and being a self-proclaimed Pinterest search engine junkie. She’s been married to her husband, Darren, since 1999, and together they enjoy spending time with their nieces and nephews.
She currently serves as a Rotarian with the Union City Rotary Club and is the Treasurer of the Preservation Society of Union City.
